The west coast of Crimea

Western Crimea is a boundless steppe, mountains can be found only at the junction with the southern coast of Crimea in the region of Sevastopol. Typical for this part of the peninsula the shore is steep with a strip of beach below. Although there is a gentle beach, for example, in Saki and Evpatoria, and rocky - on Tarkhankut.

Rains in the holiday season are very rare, the climate is very dry, which makes the heat transfer relatively easy. Summer is a little less hot than on the South Coast and not so long - there is no velvet season. Speaking about the climate of this part of the coast, we can not fail to mention that in the second half of the day it is somewhat windy, and about such an unpleasant phenomenon for vacationers as upwelling. During the upwelling, the upper heated layers of water are replaced by deep cold water layers, as a result of which the water temperature in the sea can drop sharply and then warm up for a long time. The phenomenon is not frequent, but it can quite happen several times a season.

The coast of the western Crimea is inhabited and built up not so densely as the southern one, it is often possible to see kilometers of almost untouched wild beaches. In such places, campers like to stop with tents, with each year there are more and more houses on wheels - campers and caravans.

The main advantage of the western Crimea is its long sandy beaches. And since the beaches are often shallow, with a shallow bottom and are well warmed by the sun, this region is considered the best for children and families. Another major advantage of the western Crimea is that here the lowest prices for rest on the whole peninsula.
